Museums

The Chinese Heritage Museum has three stories of exhibitions and many artifacts from the Japanese war and early Chinese settlers. Many visitors have found the area regarding Chinese Secret Societies as one of the most exciting parts of the museum.

The Istana Besar Museum has many historical pieces and artifacts from previous royal families. Surrounded by a Japanese inspired garden, this building’s architecture is a beautiful site to see. Its blue roof and staircase leading up to the building make this one of Johor’s most attractive places to visit.

The Johor Bahru Zoo

This zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Malaysia and is home to numerous birds and mammals. You can rent a pedal boat for a ride in the pond, and there is a playground for children as well.
